Discussion on Different Classification and Measures of Vibration Isolation

2019.01.17
In today's industrial production and life, the word vibration isolation appears more and more frequently. The emergence of vibration isolation measures can be said to be a progress of industry. The development of vibration isolation technology has brought great impetus to the Chinese market.
Vibration isolation is defined as a measure to isolate vibration by installing a machine or instrument on an appropriate elastic device. According to the different excitation sources, vibration isolation can be divided into two categories. For the equipment itself as the source of vibration, in order to isolate its influence on the surrounding machines, instruments and buildings, it is separated from the support in order to isolate the unbalanced inertia force transmitted to the support, which is called active vibration isolation, also known as active vibration isolation. Vibration isolation of pumps, engines and forging hammers belongs to this category. Fuzhou Faraday can provide active vibration isolation system and equipment.
For the case that the vibration source comes from the support vibration, in order to isolate the external vibration from the system, the system is installed on a vibration isolation platform to isolate it from the foundation. This measure is called passive vibration isolation, also known as passive vibration isolation. Vehicle seating, installation of precision instruments, packaging of environmental transport, vibration isolation of missile launchers on ships are all of this kind.
Vibration isolator is an elastic element connecting equipment and foundation, which is used to isolate and eliminate the vibration force transmitted from equipment to foundation and from foundation to equipment. It is widely used in vibration isolation.
Vibration isolation is the main means to prevent vibration hazards in engineering. Active vibration isolation is designed to eliminate the energy or frequency of vibration source or small vibration isolation source. It is widely used in precision instruments, aerospace equipment, large turbogenerator units and high-speed rotating machinery, but it is expensive and seldom used in general construction machinery. Passive vibration isolation includes vibration isolation and vibration absorption.
It is suggested that users apply different vibration isolation measures according to different situations. If the vibration is caused by the eccentricity of rotating parts, the centrifugal inertia force with small imbalance can be separated by improving the accuracy of dynamic balance. For reciprocating machines such as air compressors, attention should also be paid to the balance of inertia force.
Precision instruments or equipment should be as far away as possible from factories or workshops with large power machinery, pressure processing machinery and vibration machinery, as well as busy railway and highway transportation.
Dynamic stiffness is a common index to measure the anti-vibration ability of machine structures. The dynamic stiffness is equal to the dynamic force required for generating unit amplitude of machine structures. The greater the dynamic stiffness, the smaller the vibration of the machine structure under the dynamic force.
According to the actual situation, the natural frequency of the system (active vibration isolation) or the working speed of the machine (passive vibration isolation) can be changed as far as possible, so that the machine does not work in the resonance zone.
Damping the energy absorbed by the system makes the amplitude of the free vibration decay rapidly, and restrains the amplitude of the forced vibration, especially in the resonance region.
The most common types of vibration isolation measures are still two categories, using elastic isolators to isolate the vibration machine (vibration source) from the ground so that less vibration sources can affect the surrounding equipment through the ground, that is, active vibration isolation or active vibration isolation; or precise equipment that will need to be protected from the vibration of the ground, so as not to be affected by the surrounding vibration sources, that is passive vibration isolation.
