Product Description

JZP-8.5 Rubber Shock Absorber — Angular & Parallel Misalignment Tolerance with Anti-Loosening Mounting System

The JZP-8.5 rubber-metal vibration isolator, rated at 8.5 kg nominal load per mount, solves two persistent challenges in industrial vibration isolation: mounting surface irregularity and fastener loosening under cyclic loading. Its elastomeric element accommodates angular deviation and parallel offset during installation, while the integrated anti-loosening thread system preserves clamping integrity over extended service intervals.

Angular & Parallel Misalignment Compensation

Field installations rarely present perfectly flat, parallel mounting surfaces. The JZP-8.5 rubber element flexes to absorb up to ±15° of angular misalignment and ±3 mm of parallel offset between mating surfaces. This eliminates the need for shimming, grinding, or precision machining of mounting pads—reducing installation labor by an estimated 30–40% in retrofit scenarios where existing infrastructure cannot be modified. The elastomer returns to its original geometry once aligned and torqued, ensuring rated isolation performance is not compromised by the installation adjustment.

Fastener Anti-Loosening & Thread Protection

Vibration-induced bolt loosening is among the most common causes of isolator failure in service. The JZP-8.5 addresses this through a dual-protection approach: a nylon-insert lock nut that maintains prevailing torque under continuous vibration, and a bonded steel washer face that distributes clamping force evenly across the rubber-metal interface. Together these features prevent both rotational loosening and thread galling, even after 10,000+ load cycles in accelerated bench testing. No secondary thread-locking compounds are required, simplifying both initial installation and future maintenance access.

  • Agricultural processing and harvesting machinery
  • Industrial fan, blower, and ventilation assemblies
  • Conveyor drive, crusher, and screening equipment isolation

Installation Recommendations

For optimal performance, position the JZP-8.5 with the rubber element between the equipment foot and the foundation base. Tighten the M6 fastener to 8–10 N·m torque using a calibrated wrench. The integrated nylon lock nut provides sufficient prevailing torque—do not apply liquid thread-locking compounds as they may chemically interact with the rubber element. Inspect isolators annually for visible rubber cracking, deformation, or permanent set exceeding 1 mm. Replace any isolator showing signs of deterioration to maintain rated vibration isolation performance.
